What can I do about my huge credit card debt?

I owe over $30,000. I've been in a nasty divorce that left me dry and living off of credit cards. Now I'm STILL looking for a job and only have creditors calling me 20 times a day.

What can I do about this debt? Any suggestions please.

I highly recommend you check out Dave Ramsey's radio program and books. He give really good advice on how to pay off debt. And best of all--- his radio program does not cost you a thing to listen to!

Reply:First, take a DEEP breath and relax...realizing that you can only do so much is the first step. If you don't stop stressing over it, you won't be around to take care of anything. I know...I've been there. I was so bad off that i filed bankruptcy on the advice of...you guessed it...a bankruptcy attorney. DUMB. Well, I spent the next few years trying to figure out how to fix the fine mess I made for myself and in the process ended up writing a book called "LifeGuard". It's free to download

It will help, but most of all you need a GOOD TEAM of dedicated, understanding folks behind you, that aren't going to take advantage of you, and aren't going to get you in bigger trouble like me. Why would I listen to a bankruptcy lawyer? Doesn't he want me to file so he can get paid? Anyway, I now dedicate my free time to helping people OUT of situations like this, by reviewing companies and showing consumers the differences between all the options. You can check out this page I made at

Good luck and god bless!

Reply:First and foremost beofre doing anythign else, contact the creditors directly and not the agnecy that represents them. You make make out better. Unfortunately not a lot of options left unless you may want to think about bankruptcy.
Reply:go bankrupt thats really the onely way to start over. idid it and a year later i had credit cards and a score of 650 thats in about 1 to 2 years. but it will stay with ya for 10 years.
