Should we go into credit card debt to start up a business?

We have some experience in business, buying and selling tings for profit. We got an idea which we really think is cool, something people are gonna like.

Basically we would like to go into debt $400 over what we are already in debt to get this started. Right now we do not have any income but we will start to get a little income in a few weeks.

Should we go into credit card debt to start up a business?
This is going to sound silly, but if you just got a job, you'd make $400 in less than one week. You can't be serious about this.

It sounds like you can't handle money, is what it sounds like. If that's true, your business will be a horrible flop, and you might even forget to pay your taxes, and then they'll get you.

Right? Better practice now, not being broke all the time.
Reply:If it's a solid business idea, you can get a loan for it. Go to the Small Business Administration if you're in America, or find a local women's collective if you're a woman, or try a credit union for a loan. Most likely, if it's a good idea, you can find the money without incurring further debt.
Reply:Its risky depending on what it is, but $400 is not that much. To start a business for that and if you really believe in it I say go for it. Wish I had the guts to start my own business.
Reply:You have what we call " Moxie", the ability to go ahead on a shoe string, no income, already in debt but betting an additional $ 400. that an idea will work. One of your answerers said you might earn a lot more per week by working a regular job where you have no risk and would have income to live and pay off some of your old debt. That is a sounder approach.
