What is the statute of limitation for Debt Collection in Washington state?

I recently read a news article that each state has a statue of limitations between 5-8 years on the time a place/company has to resolve/collect a debt. I was wondering what this time was for Washington state.

What is the statute of limitation for Debt Collection in Washington state?
It depends on the type of Contract.

Written Contract - 6 Years

Oral Contract - 3 Years

Promissory Note - 6 years

Credit Cards - 3 Years
Reply:That is the time for initiation of debt collection. If they don't, it is presumed that they are not interested in collecting the debt. If they want, they can keep pursuing collection actions into the next century.
