Is America hocking itself to other nations with all the debt?

National debt... personal debt for a nation of consumers that does way more importing than it does exporting. We owe our rear ends to some pretty shady nations. Yet we throw money at other countries asking for nothing in return and there is people hurting in our own country...

Is it possible we could be handing our country over to other nations?

Is America hocking itself to other nations with all the debt?
well, we are selling a lot of things on our soil to citizens or entities of other countries, but we still retain the power to enact laws to protect our interests. Foreign people or businesses who buy assets on american soil, such as businesses, loans or securities backed by real estate here in america, do not have any rights other than the legal operation or disposition of the assets according to american law. They can't vote on our laws, and so we have that measure of control. If you saw foreign owned businesses behaving in ways contrary to the interests of american citizens, you would then see laws enacted to control that behavior.

And we can always buy back our debt or our assets as soon as we learn to live within our means.
Reply:Well, the War on Terror has the most impact on the national deficit. But I don't think we can just ignore other nations when they need help because after all, the USA is the lone superpower after the cold war and it has converted to international policies.
Reply:well the recent buy in into the american financial market done by chinese banks honestly says enough...
