wrong they stay with you till it is paid off!!!
Reply:Who told you that credit card debt is written off after 6 years? Credit Card debt is never written off and will continue accruing interest and late charges until it's totally paid off unless you work out some type of agreement with the creditor regarding some type of payment plan. Your credit will also suffer.
Reply:Whatever you were doing 72 months ago drops off your credit file this month. Whatever you were doing 71 months ago drops off next month etc. This is how your credit file develops. Good recent conduct replaces old bad conduct (hopefully)

The debt isn't actually written off btw. It just becomes unenforceable in court under the statute of limitations, you can still be chased for it and there are still debt collection companies buying these debts.
Reply:Im not really sure of your question. Most deliquencies are taken off a credit after 7 years not 6. That however is only if the account is paid and closed.

If the balance is still there then that will say on your credit report. The more times you pay something on time in a row increases your rating.

Not having any credit though can bring your rating down.

Hope that kind of answers your question
