How long does an attorneys office have to send out satisfaction of judgement after debt is paid?

They have acknowledged payment in full but seem to be stalling the final paperwork I need to file in order to get this debt off my bad credit history

How long does an attorneys office have to send out satisfaction of judgement after debt is paid?
HMMM,

It could be that you are requesting the letter from the wrong source.

Did the attorney's office buy your debt or are they just collecting on behalf of your original creditor. The distinction would be helpful with you getting more accurate advice.

Either way,

you can circumvent them by contacting the big three credit agencies and having them validate the debt.

Once (experian for example) contacts them, they will reflect back the the debt has been paid.

Unless you contracted BEFORE PAYMENT an agreement for them to remove the negative information, it will not be removed.

The account will merely reflect that it is now paid with a balance of zero
Reply:A satisfaction of judgment isn't going to remove the item from your credit report. It will only change its status from delinquent judgment to paid judgment.

That item is going to remain there for the next seven years, unless you negotiated (in writing) a guaranteed removal in return for your payment.
